A full day’s learning for every student in the absence of a full-time educator.

I am a substitute teacher. I focus on the ‘teacher’ aspect of that title, and aim on providing an education for my students rather than being a babysitter or a “body in the room.” 

As a college student working towards a degree in elementary education, I find that being a substitute teacher allows me the unique opportunity to immediately put my education into practice. I am able to see what works, not just by teaching directly, but also by speaking with full-time teachers and examining a classroom for methods that work.
